Trump calls the press and Democrats “crazy” for their stance on Iran
The president assured that the media's vision is so distorted that they would headline that "Iran had a masterful and brilliant victory over the United States."
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, attacked again this Monday against the media and the Democratic opposition, whom he accused of having gone “crazy” with the war in Iran.
In a message on his Truth Social platform, the Republican leader assured that the vision of the American media is so distorted that, in the hypothetical case that Tehran surrendered, they would headline that “Iran had a masterful and brilliant victory over the United States.”
Trump specifically singled out the “failed” The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the “corrupt and irrelevant” CNN.
"The foolish Democrats and the media have completely lost their way. They have gone completely crazy!" he opined.
Negotiations between Washington and Tehran to end the war started in February by the United States and Israel have been stalled for weeks, while the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz threatens to cause serious economic consequences.
The Islamic Republic has repeatedly rejected the conditions imposed by the Trump Administration to stop uranium enrichment and this Monday announced that it has presented a counterproposal through Pakistani mediators.
On Sunday, Trump threatened to resume the offensive, paused since April due to a ceasefire, saying that Iran was “running out of time.” EFE
