Zayn Malik cancels all dates of his US tour
The former One Direction member is prioritizing his recovery and stated that's why he readjusted his schedule
British singer Zayn Malik, 33, made a difficult decision in the midst of his recovery process. After being hospitalized last month for an unspecified illness, the artist announced that he has canceled all scheduled US dates on his 2026 tour to promote his latest album, “Konnakol.” Despite this bad news, fans in other countries still have reason to hope. Tickets for concerts in the UK, Mexico, Brazil, and other Latin American countries are still on sale on his official website. A message for his fans: Zayn Malik took to social media to thank everyone for the overwhelming support he has received. In a message posted to his Instagram story, he wrote:
“To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you've shown me for the album release and, above all, for your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I've felt it and it means so much to me. I'm at home recovering and I'm doing well; I'll be better and stronger than before.” Zayn Malik
He also explained the difficult task of restructuring his plans: “I've had to rearrange my schedule for the next few months and reduce the number of shows on the “KONNAKOL” tour. I want to make sure I can get out there and see as many of you as possible.”
The decision directly impacts the US tour, which, according to Ticketmaster seating charts, had sold out in several cities, as had his recent successful Las Vegas residency earlier this year.
But the cancellations aren't limited to the United States. The singer was also forced to cancel his scheduled dates in Dublin and Birmingham, in the UK. Following the news and concerns for the artist's health, fans began sending massive displays of affection, creating an unsustainable situation for a local florist, overwhelmed with orders. In response, Malik's family, through his cousin Sasha, publicly requested that flower deliveries cease. In her Instagram stories, she thanked fans for the gesture but explained, "Logistically, it's simply not possible." She also asked fans to donate those funds to charities.
