Till now MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) was studied in English but a big thing has come out about it. Actually, now students will be able to study MBBS in Hindi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 16 October 2022 has released textbooks in Hindi of three subjects for MBBS students under the ambitious project of Madhya Pradesh government to provide medical education in Hindi language.

Describing it as an important day in history, Amit Shah said that Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country to start MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course in Hindi.

These books were released

While releasing the textbooks of Medical Biochemistry, Anatomy and Medical Physiology subjects in Hindi for MBBS students at a function held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, he said, "This day will be written in golden letters in history." Shah said that work is on to start technical and medical education in eight other languages ​​of the country. MBBS course in Hindi was started under the National Policy on Education and soon it will be started in other languages ​​as well.


What did the Union Minister say

The Union Minister said that now the students of the country will not have any inferiority complex about not knowing the English language and they can study in their own language with pride. He said that earlier there were 387 medical colleges in the country with a total of 51,000 seats. Now, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there are 596 medical colleges in the nation with an additional 89,000 seats.

How many IIT colleges are there in the country?

He said that earlier there were 16 IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) colleges in the country and now the number has gone up to 23. At the same time, the number of IIMs has increased from 13 to 20. The number of universities has increased from 723 to 1,043 and the number of Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) has increased from nine to 25. Similarly, the number of other national level institutions has also increased significantly.

Amit Shah praises CM

Amit Shah praised Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minister Sarang for playing a leading role in introducing MBBS course in Hindi in the country and said that now students will be able to learn medical education in their own language.
