FBI arrests two of the four immigrants who escaped from ICE facilities in Newark

For his part, Castaneda Lozada entered illegally in 2022. According to DHS data, he was arrested on May 15, 2025, in Hammonton, New Jersey, on charges of robbery, theft, and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The four immigrants escaped through a hole in a wall, as ICE explained to state legislators, while a riot broke out inside the facility.

On April 25, 2025, the New York City Police Department arrested Pineda-Mogollon for petit theft. A month later, on May 21, 2025, the Union Police Department,New Jersey arrested Pineda-Mogollon for residential burglary, conspiracy to commit residential burglary, and possession of burglary tools.
