The US State Department has strongly condemned the vandalism in the Swami Narayan Temple in California on Saturday. He has appreciated the steps taken by the Newark Police Department in this matter.

According to the police report, the US State Department has issued this statement after the vandalism of the Hindu temple in Newark by pro-Khalistani activists. Khalistani supporters vandalized the outer parts of the temple on Friday. Temple spokesperson Bhargav Rawal said, a devotee living near the temple had written anti-India slogans in black ink on the outer wall of the building. He immediately informed the local administration.

India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed concern over this incident. Responding to a question on this incident, he said, 'I saw the news. As you know, we are concerned about this. Separatists and extremists should not get a place outside India. Our Consulate has lodged a complaint with the American government and the police there on this incident. We are confident that this matter is being investigated.

Meanwhile, Newark Police has described it as an intentional incident. A police officer said that as members of Newark and as a police, we are saddened by this incident. We cannot tolerate such people here. You can understand how seriously we are taking this incident. We will investigate it very carefully.
