Karol G reveals how she discovered an infidelity thanks to GPS: "He told me he was at home"
The Colombian singer recalled a bitter experience in her love life, where thanks to technology she discovered the lies of an ex-boyfriend
Just days after making history with her performance at the Coachella Festival, singer Karol G continues to be the talk of the town. The reason? Through social media, her statements about a bad romantic experience, in which technology helped her discover infidelity, gained traction. The urban music star's testimony was shared during her appearance on the podcast "Call Her Daddy," sparking public interest in learning the identity behind the story. "I found out about one of my ex-partners' infidelity thanks to GPS location," she confessed to host Alex Cooper. "He told me he was at home when he was actually on another continent." Despite her ex-boyfriend's attempts to maintain the relationship, Karol G decided to go their separate ways. This is based on the premise that forgiving infidelity is allowing it to happen again.
“No and no. A 'no' is just that: it's enough. That's a 'next, please,'” she stated emphatically, expressing her stance on infidelity.
Despite this experience, the artist, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, confessed to being attracted to personalities who end up following this pattern: “I kind of like the bad boy, you know? I have to change that (…) And I like the guy who seems like he's from the neighborhood and is laid-back; that's my type,” she explained in the interview.
This confession opened the debate about her definition of a “perfect date,” to which Karol G responded: “For me, it's being taken out for hot dogs and fries, to a place on the street, and feeling like I'm from the neighborhood, like where the bad boys hang out. I love that.”
It was the Last April 12th, the Colombian singer broke a historic record by becoming the first Latin artist to headline the popular Coachella festival. Despite this professional success, the star turned the spotlight on a deeper cause. “Tonight isn’t just about me, but about my Latin community,” she said."This is about my people. This is about my Latinos who have been struggling in this country lately. We support them. I'm proud because this brings out the best in us: unity, resilience, a strong spirit. We're not doing this to exclude anyone; we're doing it so everyone feels welcome in our culture, in our music. Please, don't be afraid, be proud. Raise your flag!" she declared to an audience of over 100,000 people.
