You'll love it: Jeep revives the 80s with a special edition
Jeep launches the Rewind package for the 2026 Wrangler and Gladiator, a retro-styled edition that blends nostalgia, color, and off-road capabilities
Jeep seems to have understood the concept of connecting with memories very well and is now putting it into practice with a proposal that doesn't go unnoticed.
The brand decided to take the best of its past and reinterpret it in a modern way. Thus was born the Rewind package, a special edition that transforms two of its most iconic models into true rolling tributes to the 80s and 90s. The result is anything but subtle.
The move comes after a strong public response following its concept presentation. What began as an eye-catching idea ended up becoming a real option for those who want something different in the off-road world.
A direct reminder of another era
The Rewind package completely changes the personality of the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Gladiator. The inspiration is clear and makes no attempt to hide it.
Multicolored graphics run across the body with references to cassette tapes, arcade video games, and that vibrant aesthetic that marked a whole generation. Added to this are striking colors like Hydro Blue, Joose, and Reign, which reinforce that carefree identity. The details also matter. Gold-finished tow hooks, off-road-ready wheels, and body-colored fenders help create a look that breaks with the usual sobriety of this type of vehicle. Inside, the design follows the same theme. There's no intention of going unnoticed. Everything is designed to enhance that retro experience with a modern approach. The Nappa leather seats incorporate patterns inspired by 8-bit graphics, while the contrasting stitching adds a playful touch. Even the gearshift lever adopts a design reminiscent of dot-matrix displays, a detail that not many expected to see in a modern vehicle.
There are also exclusive badges, custom finishes, and carpets designed to withstand any weather. It's an interior that blends nostalgia with functionality without losing sight of real-world use.
Technology and Capabilities Undiminished
Beyond the visual aspect, both the Wrangler and the Gladiator maintain their capabilities intact. They remain vehicles prepared to leave the pavement without problems.
Their equipment includes a 7-inch information screen, remote start system, keyless entry, and LED headlights. They also incorporate driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and a locking rear differential.
Off-Road+ Mode is still present to tackle demanding terrain, making it clear that this edition is not just about aesthetics.
The Rewind package will be available for order starting in May 2026. Its cost will be an additional $1,900 on top of the Willys versions of both models.
