BYD exceeds 100 thousand reservations with its flagship electric SUV
The brand, which continues to gain ground in the global automobile industry, has found in this model one of its most ambitious bets.
The figures speak for themselves. Even before officially arriving at dealerships, BYD's new electric SUV had already exceeded 100,000 reservations, a clear sign of the interest it has aroused among Chinese consumers.

The brand, which continues to gain ground in the global automobile industry, has found in this model one of its most ambitious bets. It is not just a large, seven-seater vehicle.

Its main calling card is autonomy that places it above any other electric SUV currently available on the market.
Record that attracts attention
With a length of 5.26 meters and a wheelbase of 3.13 meters, the BYD Great Tang is positioned among the most imposing models in its category.
The record-setting variant features a 408-horsepower rear electric motor and a 130.15 kWh battery. Thanks to this combination, the manufacturer announces up to 950 kilometers of autonomy, a figure that places it as the electric SUV with the longest range declared to date.
Curiously, the most powerful versions are not the ones that achieve this result. The dual-motor and all-wheel drive configuration offers 795 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, although it sacrifices some of the autonomy in favor of performance.
Technology designed to stand out
BYD has also focused on charging speed. The model uses the new Blade Battery 2.0 technology, designed to support ultra-fast charging.
According to the company, the system can recover up to 400 kilometers of autonomy in just five minutes under ideal conditions. Although some competitors already boast similar or even higher figures, the proposal remains one of the most advanced in the industry.
Added to this are elements that are unusual in the segment, such as active pneumatic suspension, rear axle steering and the ability to move diagonally through the so-called “crab mode”.
Comfort-oriented interior
The second row of seats is one of the most striking spaces in the vehicle. Occupants have reclining seats with footrest, heating, ventilation and massage function.
The equipment also includes an integrated refrigerator and a large multimedia screen that can be folded down from the roof, features that seek to bring the experience closer to that of a luxury vehicle.
Another aspect that is generating conversation is its launch value. In China, this SUV will begin to be sold from approximately $35,000 dollars, a striking figure considering the size, autonomy and level of technology it offers.
