The teenager who died this Sunday night due to police shooting is of Hispanic origin, after his identity was revealed by Orange County authorities.
Orange County Sheriff's Office officials identified the victim as Jaden Michaca, in addition to correcting his age to 15, after he was initially reported to be 16.
The shooting occurred when Santa Ana Police Department officers responded to a call from a person who reported at 10:30 p.m. that his girlfriend's son had a knife and was vandalizing property at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of South Main Street.
