Rosalia breaks the silence on the romance she had with Hunter Schafer
The Spanish singer spoke for the first time about her relationship
Amid the expectation generated by the upcoming premiere of the new season of "Euphoria", the singer Rosalia, who will join the cast of the series For its third installment, she has granted an interview in which she not only spoke about what to expect from the production, but also broke her silence about the brief romance she had with Hunter Schafer in 2019.
A little over a year after the actress who plays "Jules" in Euphoria confirmed the relationship rumors that were generated in 2019, the Spaniard faced questions about her love life in a chat with Elle magazine.
"When I ask Rosalia if the experience (being Hunter Schafer's partner) pressured her to publicly define her sexuality, queer or not, (the singer) shakes her head," reveals journalist Suzy Exposito, editor of said interview.
Although she confirmed her ex-partner's version, Rosalia limited herself to assuring that it is not important for her to put labels on her person, much less when it comes to matters of love.
"No, he didn't pressure me. I think about freedom. That's what guides me," she said forcefully and without revealing more details about it.
It was in 2024 when Hunter Schafer confirmed that he had a romantic relationship with the interpreter of "Malamente" during an interview for GQ magazine. According to the young woman, their romance lasted approximately five months and although it was brief, the two maintain a good friendship.
“There has been a lot of speculation for a long time. Part of us wants to end it all, and another says: 'But why, it's nobody's business!' But, in the end, it's something I'm happy to share. And I think she feels that way too,” she told the magazine, mentioning the facts that at the time pointed to a possible love affair between the two celebrities.
And in addition to being captured together on more than one occasion starring in romantic displays of affection, another of the details that added fuel to the fire was the release of the song “Tuya” in 2021. In its lyrics,Rosalia mentions a woman whom the audience was quick to identify as Schafer: "Only tonight I am yours, yours. Only tonight you are mine, mine," the song recites.
