Faced with the possibility of facing criticism for her foray into the musical field, Alicia Machado said she was ready, but above all, confident in her talent and preparation.
"I consider myself a complete artist because I have been dancing, singing, and acting since I was a child. I was almost 20 years old when I only sang in the kitchen and in the car with my friends, in the clubs. So we decided to record this song, I was going to release it a little before the earthquake in Venezuela, but we preferred to wait," she said in an interview with People en Español.
Likewise, the former Miss Universe said that the process of recording the song was a very personal one and full of mixed emotions: "It was very difficult for me to record it. We did it in about two, three days because there were parts where I always ended up crying. It was sung that way, it was sung with a bottle of wine, we cried a lot," she added.
Alicia Machado concluded her interview by announcing that the public will be able to continue enjoying her musical proposal during the coming months and it will seek to talk about the joys and complexities of the human being.
“I'm going to talk about us women, I'm going to talk about violence, I'm going to talk about racism, I'm going to talk about your own acceptance as a human being,” she revealed excitedly.
