The death of Mauro Menéndez, well-known DJ and son of actress Aylín Mujica, shook the entertainment world on July 16. Just a few weeks after the unfortunate event, the last voice message he sent to his mother has come to light.
It was during a broadcast of “La Mesa Caliente” that hosts Verónica Bastos and Elizabeth Gutiérrez addressed the criticism that Aylín Mujica has received for the calm and resilience she has shown after the death of her first-born child.
"Many people have been questioning why the child went to another country when he was sick, why they didn't arrest him and so on. This, which you will hear below, is the last message that Mauro left his mother on his phone before he died and look what his son said to his mother, that's why mom was calm," Verónica Bastos commented to the Telemundo audience.
During the clip, Mauro, known in the entertainment world as DJ MAAHEZ, is heard explaining to his mother that despite the health complications he had prior to his trip, he managed to get better.
After presenting said voice audio, Verónica Bastos returned to the topic and regretted the little empathy that Aylín Mujica has received in the face of this great loss.
"Who are you to criticize her today when she wants to be well? Who are you to be questioning whether or not she is on a television show? What do you know about a mother's pain?" she asked, annoyed. “I wish no one had to go through that pain that doesn't even have a name, so respect and be careful when you send a message to Aylín,” he concluded.
For her part, Aylín Mujica thanked the production for its support with a comment on Instagram where she read: “Thank you my beautiful beauty, only a mother who has lost a child knows the pain I harbor in my soul.”
