Belinda and Danna announced that they will record a song together
The Mexican pop stars film the video for their new single this Sunday, the most anticipated project of the year on the Mexican scene
The wait is over for Latin pop fans. Belinda and Danna finally announced their musical alliance with the recording of the video clip of their first official collaboration, the most anticipated project of the year on the Mexican scene.
The announcement was revealed with humor by Belinda herself after the recent triumph of the Mexican National Team against Ecuador, confirming that this Sunday, July 5, she would be fully engaged on the filming set with her colleague, thus ruling out her attendance at the historic El Tri match against England at the Mexico City Stadium.
“I have to record a video… I can no longer act sick, I can no longer have an excuse because otherwise Danna is going to kill me,” declared the interpreter before the TUDN microphones, unleashing euphoria on social networks.
This collaboration comes at a peak moment for both artists. Belinda has just starred in the historical miniseries “Carlota” for the HBO Max platform and inaugurated the World Cup with Los Ángeles Azules.
For her part, Danna is experiencing the success of her “Lucid Dreams” era, having had a sold-out show in Los Angeles and recently released her single with El Malilla.
The filming of this duet has inevitably revived doubts about the fate of “the trinity of Mexican pop”, the ambitious project in trio format that Belinda and Danna recorded with Kenia Os in mid-2025.
Although the song was baptized by followers as the “Mexican Blackout” and promised to break molds in the industry, its launch is frozen.
It was Kenia Os herself who recently clarified in Spain that the reasons behind this pause are strictly corporate. “The song was stopped due to administrative problems,” the Sinaloa native explained, specifying that the obstacles come from her record label, Sony Music, and ruling out any personal friction between the divas.
Danna confirmed this version, attributing the delay to “administrative things” that hope to be resolved soon.
