About the wedding
The wedding took place last Friday, July 3, and brought together nearly 1,000 guests, including family, close friends and a large number of celebrities.
The couple personalized the ceremony, choosing Adam Sandler as officiant, Austin Swift, the singer's brother, as “honorary godfather,” and Jason Kelce, the athlete's brother, as main godfather. Both wore Christian Dior haute couture designs, created by Jonathan Anderson. The evening featured special performances by music legends such as Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney, who performed the Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”
The groom's mother's description of the evening as “magical” captures the general feel of a celebration that has been shrouded in a veil of mystery and emotion. Despite the magnitude of the event, the feeling of intimacy that was experienced has stood out, with vows written by the couple themselves that moved the attendees.
When asked about her memories of the Fourth of July, Donna Kelce also shared a nostalgic family moment, transporting herself to her children's childhood. “I remember I used to take the kids to Lake Erie and we would watch the fireworks in Euclid, Ohio, and we would have a great time,” he recalled in the interview.
