Cardi B will be the new official voice of the New York subway public service announcements. Now, the American rapper, with his characteristic energy and style, will accompany users of the city's most iconic transportation system.

This week, People magazine reported that the Bronx rapper recorded a series of public service messages that are now heard in subway stations, aimed at promoting safety and courtesy among passengers.

Cardi B's announcements include reminders such as: "Pay your fare and stay real," "Ride safe, stay stylish and move forward," and "Steps are for walking up, not sitting down. Move over, Bucko!"

Cardi B's recorded messages also warn against dangerous practices such as "subway surfing," an extreme practice that involves riding on the body of a moving train.

The rapper's recordings replace the usual monotonous warnings with the artist's unique touch, which feels authentic and relatable to the energy of New York, according to People.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) clarified that this collaboration with the artist did not involve any type of payment, but is a solidarity alliance.

Cardi B's arrival in this campaign coincides with the recent platinum certification on its first day of the release of her second studio album, Am I the Drama?.

Last week, the rapper shook the music industry with the release of her new album titled Am I the Drama?, her highly anticipated second album.

The album features several notable collaborations with artists such as Selena Gomez, Lizo or Janet Jackson, who have been confirmed for this release.

Am I the Drama? has 23 songs, including recent hits like “Up” and “WAP”, in addition to the single “Outside”, released in June 2025.
