Almost a month before the closing of the 2026 World Cup, singer Shakira revives soccer fever with the release of the Spanish version of the song “Dai Dai”, considered by many the anthem of this popular sports competition.
Through her official Instagram account, the Colombian posted a story in which she confirmed that the public will now be able to enjoy said song from platforms such as YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music.
“Dai Dai”, the official song of the 2026 World Cup that he performed with the Nigerian Burna Boy, released its original version last May and, as of today, it is known to be recorded in five languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French and Japanese.
Likewise, the charitable part of this project has been repeatedly emphasized, since the copyright of the song goes to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. This initiative seeks to raise one hundred million dollars to give children around the world access to education and soccer.
Everything seems to indicate that this new version in Spanish will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor with respect to acceptance by listeners. And, in less than 24 hours, it has accumulated 294 thousand views on YouTube.
Just a few weeks ago, Shakira delighted the audience with a “taste” of “Dai Dai” in its Spanish version from backstage at the 2026 World Cup halftime show.
The Grammy winner posted a short video where she can be heard singing the song a cappella. In his stanzas, he mentions: “In the eleven against eleven, each one in his role, here no one is judged when he gives his all” and “Rise and fall, and start again and break again like a wave breaks again in the sea.”
Shakira and Burna Boy sang the song “Dai Dai” at the opening ceremony of the championship, on June 11 in Mexico City, and repeated their feat at halftime of the final, where they had the special participation of the Ugandan dance group “Ghetto Kids.”
