In order to provide home to the homeless by 2024, the government has released the second installment of Rs 1.5 lakh to 1262 beneficiaries of Aligarh after 3 years in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban. But the second installment has not been released to 359 beneficiaries.

The government has released the second installment of 1.5 lakh after 3 years in the account of 1262 beneficiaries of Aligarh in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban. Soon the amount will reach the account of the beneficiaries. In Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban, the beneficiary gets 2.5 lakhs in three installments. The first installment of 50-50 thousand was sent in 2019. Now the second installment of 1.5 lakh has been sent. From whom after the completion of the construction work, the third installment of 50 thousand will be sent soon.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban in Aligarh, 359 beneficiaries out of 1621 did not start the construction work even after getting the first installment of 50 thousand. Therefore, the second installment has not been released to these beneficiaries, the remaining 1262 will soon reach the second installment in the account of the recruits. Aligarh DM Inder Vikram Singh told Prabhat Khabar that after getting the installment, the beneficiaries should start the construction work. Recovery will be made from the beneficiaries who have not started construction work after getting the first installment.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban Mission was launched on 25 June 2015. This scheme was brought to provide housing for all in urban areas by 2022. Under this scheme, the beneficiary gets 2.5 lakh rupees in 3 installments for building a house.
