Announcement of scholarship scheme for economically weak students of Bihar, know how to get benefit
Bihar Scholarship Scheme has been started for such children who give up their studies due to financial constraints.
Bihar Scholarship Scheme 2023 has been announced by the Government of Bihar for the OBC, SC, ST students of the state. Under this scheme, financial help will be provided to the students who belong to weaker section for better education. In the era of rising inflation, this scholarship will be very beneficial for those students who come from a financially weak family.
Backward class students will get scholarship
Bihar Scholarship Scheme has been started for such children who give up their studies due to financial constraints or any other reason. Under this scheme, financial help will be provided to the students through Combined Counseling Board (India) Scholarship. However, the benefit of this scheme will be available to only those students of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes who bring better results in studies but are unable to pursue their studies due to economic reasons.
Application will be online
To take benefit under Bihar Scholarship Scheme 2023, students will have to apply online. Under this scheme, after the applicant's application is accepted, he will be given 70 percent of the amount spent on studies as financial assistance. To take advantage of this scheme, it will be mandatory for the candidates to give all the information through online medium.
Bihar government released money
On the other hand, the Bihar government has released Rs 1.13 billion to give scholarships to the students of all government elementary schools, including minority schools. A total amount of more than 1.74 billion has been approved. This amount is to be distributed for the financial year 2022-23 under various scholarship schemes.
Scholarship to be given to 16.75 lakh children
According to official information, these scholarships are to be given to a total of 16.75 lakh children. This amount has to be deposited in the beneficiary's account through DBT. Scholarships are to be given to 853645 students of classes I to IV at the rate of Rs 600 per student, Rs 1200 to children of classes 5 to 6 and Rs 1800 to children from classes 7 to 8.
