In a crucial meeting held at the Bihar BJP party office on Friday, senior leaders deliberated on strategies to ensure the victory of NDA candidates in the upcoming by-elections for the four vacant assembly seats. The vacancies arose following the election of four MLAs to the Lok Sabha. The meeting, presided over by state president Dilip Jaiswal, witnessed the presence of both Deputy Chief Ministers, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Regional Organization General Secretary Nagendra Ji, Bhikhubhai Dalsania, and other key leaders including district presidents and election in-charges.
Discussion on Candidates and Seat Allocation
Post-meeting, state president Dilip Jaiswal informed the media about the detailed discussions held regarding the by-elections. “We have deliberated extensively on the upcoming by-elections. Candidates will be fielded on all four seats. Decisions regarding which candidate will contest from which seat and the respective party affiliations will be finalized soon,” he stated. He emphasized that the party leaders engaged in thorough discussions about the elections and candidate selections. The final decisions will be made in collaboration with coalition partners, and candidates will be announced promptly.
Seats Scheduled for By-Elections
The by-elections are necessitated due to the election of MLAs from Imamganj, Ramgarh, Belaganj, and Tarari to the Lok Sabha. Among these, Ramgarh and Belaganj were previously held by RJD, while Tarari was held by a leftist party. Imamganj’s seat was occupied by Jitan Ram Manjhi of the HAM party.
JDU to Contest in Jharkhand Assembly Elections
Meanwhile, Rural Works Minister and Jharkhand In-charge Ashok Choudhary announced on Friday that JDU will contest the Jharkhand assembly elections with full vigor. He mentioned ongoing discussions with alliance partners to solidify the strategy. “Post consultations at the top level, we will determine the future course of action,” Choudhary stated during a media interaction after a public hearing at the JDU state headquarters. Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni was also present during the interaction.
Comments on Tejashwi Yadav’s Absence
Addressing the media, Rural Works Minister Ashok Choudhary commented on the absence of Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav during the entire monsoon session. “Tejashwi’s absence from the entire monsoon session demonstrates his lack of seriousness about the public’s issues,” Choudhary remarked. He further added, “When Tejashwi embarks on his state-wide tour, he will witness the transformed Bihar in every village and hamlet. The contrast with the situation during his parents’ regime is evident to all.”
