A hybrid terrorist was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists on Sunday morning in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir Zone Police said that during the search, when the security forces reached the suspected hideout, the terrorists started firing, where a terrorist was killed during retaliation. Here, in Srinagar too, the security forces have arrested three terrorists. The police have recovered a large quantity of weapons from the terrorists.

When the search party reached the suspected hideout, the terrorists opened fire in which Sajjad Tantre, a hybrid Lashkar terrorist from Kulgam, was killed, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted. The police further wrote, the search team had taken Tantre along with them to identify the terrorist hideout. Tantre was taken to SDH Bijbehara, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Giving information about another incident, the police said that on Sunday three hybrid terrorists were arrested from Srinagar. According to media reports, the terrorists have been arrested in a joint operation by Army's 2-RR and Srinagar Police. Police have recovered three AK rifles, two pistols and nine magazines from the terrorists. At present, further action is going on.

Police said that the slain terrorist Tantre was involved in the murder of a migrant laborer on November 13 at Rakhmomen in Bijbehara. Officials said, hybrid terrorist Sajjad Tantre was earlier an associate of Lashkar terrorists and was released from PSA. Tantre revealed during interrogation that he had attacked two migrant laborers on 13 November 2022 at Rakhmomen in Bijbehara, Anantnag, in which both were seriously injured. According to the police, investigation is on to arrest more associates of the terrorists of this module.

Hybrid terrorists are those unlisted terrorists who, after carrying out terrorist activities, often lead a regular life without leaving any trace.
