The brand wants to gain global visibility, strengthen its sporting identity and demonstrate that it can compete against manufacturers with a long tradition in racing.
Le Mans marks a before and after
The historic French test will serve as the setting for Genesis' debut in the Hypercar category of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The brand will participate with the new GMR-001 Hypercar, a model developed specifically to take on some of the biggest names in world endurance.
Taking advantage of the attention generated by that announcement, Genesis also showed two concepts that advance its vision for future competitions under the Genesis Magma Racing structure.
A grand tourer with racing DNA
The protagonist was the new Genesis Magma GT Concept, a vehicle that combines the brand's characteristic luxury with a much more aggressive image focused on performance.
Its low silhouette, mid-engine proportions and markedly flared wheel arches convey a sense of speed even when the car remains stationary. The entire set seeks to project a much more emotional and sporty personality.
Genesis also carefully worked on aerodynamics, integrating functional solutions without sacrificing the elegance that characterizes its models.
An interior designed for driving
Inside, the Magma GT Concept is committed to an experience focused on whoever is behind the wheel. The double cockpit configuration creates a visual separation between driver and passenger, while elements inspired by competition stopwatches provide an atmosphere clearly linked to the world of racing.
At the same time, digital surfaces and modern controls maintain the technological focus that distinguishes the brand.
Along with the Magma GT Concept, the Genesis Magma GT3 Concept appeared, a much more extreme interpretation designed exclusively for racing.
Unlike other programs based on production vehicles, this project was born directly under the demands of the GT3 regulations. For this reason, it incorporates a wider body, large air inlets, a larger front splitter, a prominent rear spoiler and a diffuser developed to generate the maximum possible downforce.
