The Alipore-based Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in North Bengal for the next 48 hours on Saturday. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the districts of sub-Himalayan regions of West Bengal for the next three days. The department has issued an orange alert for many districts of North Bengal till June 19.

The issuance of Orange Alert by the Meteorological Department means that there may be heavy rain with thunderstorms and thunderstorms. On the other hand, Monsoon Hits Kolkata has knocked in Kolkata. But, at present, there is no possibility of heavy rain in South Bengal. There are signs of heavy rain in South Bengal only after June 20.

Hundreds of tourists stranded in Sikkim were evacuated safely. These people were trapped in Lachen and Lachung in North Sikkim. Some people were also trapped in Yumthang and Gurudongmar. Everyone has been shifted to safe places. Stranded tourists have been brought to Gangtok. It has been told that tourists were trapped due to landslides in Jongo, Chungthang, Lachen, Lachung and Dikchu.
