Rajasthan: Assembly elections will be held on the basis of 33 districts, not 50, 1 polling booth within 2 km radius
The Election Commission has sent a proposal to the election officers of all the districts of the state that no polling booth should have more than 1425 voters.

Even though 50 districts have been formed in Rajasthan, the assembly elections will be held on the basis of the old 33 districts only. The Election Commission has decided to appoint only 33 District Election Officers. Only the District Collector engaged in the old 33 districts will remain the District Election Officer. The responsibility can be assigned to the collectors of the new districts that have come out of it only under him.
The Election Commission has also decided that there will be a polling booth within a radius of 2 km from the voter's residence, so that they do not have to travel long distances for voting. It will also be kept in mind at every polling booth that there should not be more than 1425 voters at one booth.
Election will be held on the basis of delimitation of old districts and assembly constituencies
The Gehlot government has increased the number of districts in Rajasthan from 33 to 50 before the elections, but the Election Commission will conduct the elections on the ongoing basis of delimitation of the old districts and assembly constituencies falling in it. In such a situation, the Collectors of the new districts will also help in completing the election process in a fair and transparent manner under the supervision of the District Election Officer appointed in the old districts.
State Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that the responsibility of conducting assembly elections will remain with the collectors of old districts. Special training for the collectors of 33 districts of the state has started from Thursday. Only collectors of old districts have been invited for the two-day training program at Officers Training Academy School, JLN Marg, Jaipur. These District Election Officers will have all the responsibility from filing nominations for the elections till counting of votes and issuing election results. To maintain the arrangements, the collectors of the old 33 districts can give some responsibilities to the collectors of the new districts under them. However, in case of any dispute related to the election process in any district, the authority of the final decision will remain with the collector of the old districts i.e. district election officers.
Polling booths at 2 kilometers, each polling booth will not have more than 1425 voters
The Election Commission has sent a proposal to the election officers of all the districts of the state that no polling booth should have more than 1425 voters. If this happens, new booths should be formed by revising those booths. While implementing this, the number of polling booths has increased to 569 in all the districts. There were a total of 51 thousand 187 polling booths in 200 areas across the state, which have been revised to 51 thousand 756. The Commission has given instructions to keep the distance of the polling booth within a radius of 2 km.
Minimum number of polling booths in Pratapgarh and maximum in Jaipur
Talking about the number of polling booths, Pratapgarh district has the least number of polling booths out of 33 districts. Where there are only 2 assembly seats Dhariyavad and Pratapgarh. There are 560 polling booths here. On the other hand, a total of 4589 polling booths will be set up in 19 assembly seats in Old Jaipur district.
