A dog trainer was sentenced to nearly 12 years in prison for the deaths of 11 pets, incidents that occurred in June 2025 in Orange County.
Tony Sit, owner of Happy K-9 Academy, was charged with 11 counts of animal cruelty after 11 dogs died while under his care in the city of Irvine.
According to authorities, many of the dogs lost their lives as a result of the extreme heat, while one of the pets died from blunt force trauma.
