Trump receives a daily video with reports of US bombings in Iran
Officials reveal that the president closely follows military operations with daily video summaries
The network, citing three US officials, says the video typically lasts about two minutes and summarizes the most significant attacks of the past 48 hours.
The video is not the only information about the war that Trump receives, who also keeps himself updated through conversations with his military and intelligence advisors, foreign leaders, and press reports.
But according to NBC, the summary video is fueling concern among Trump's allies that he is not receiving or assimilating the full picture of the war, which is now in its fourth week.
According to the sources cited, Trump is growing frustrated with media coverage of the war, as he believes, based on what he sees in the videos, that the war is a success.
Trump has reportedly asked his advisors why the press is not giving more weight to what he sees in the videos.
In a statement sent to NBC, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt rejected the idea that Trump does not have a complete picture of the war.
“Anyone who has engaged in conversations with President Trump knows that he actively seeks the "He expects absolute honesty from all his top advisors," he said. The war began on February 28 with a large-scale attack by the United States and Israel against Iran, which has responded by bombing neighboring countries that host US military bases and by blocking the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world's oil passes. Most Americans reject the conflict, even among Trump's base, who campaigned on a promise not to involve the country in protracted wars abroad.
