Trump says Iran has been “beating” the US for almost half a century but “won't laugh anymore”
Trump's statements come after Pakistan confirmed having received Iran's response to the latest US peace proposal.
The American President, Donald Trump, said this Sunday in Social Truth that Iran has been “beating” the United States for almost half a century United but “will not laugh” at their country, coinciding with reports that Tehran has responded to Washington's peace proposal.
“For 47 years the Iranians have been “beating” us, making us wait, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying "do protests and, recently, annihilating 42,000 innocent and unarmed protesters, and laughing at our now great country," Trump wrote.
“They will not laugh anymore!”, the Republican president concludes his message, in which he attacks especially against the former democratic president Bara ck Obama (2009-2017), for supposedly giving Iran “new life” in the form of money, but also his predecessor, Joe Biden (2021-2025).
The statements were made around the moment when Pakistan confirmed having received the Government's response to the latest p peace proposal presented by the United States to end the war in the Persian Gulf, of which the details are still unknown.
Additionally, this Sunday morning, the “Full Measure” program released an interview with Trump previously-recorded during the week in the president insisted that Iran has been “defeated” but “that doesn’t mean they are finished”, and threatened more “targets”.
“We could go on for two more weeks and meet each and every one of (our) goals. We have certain goals that we wanted… Probably "We have met 70%, but we have other objectives that we could attack," he declared to journalist Sharyl Attkisson, according to the transcript.
Trump added in that program that the US continues to reserve the Iranian enriched uranium reserves, a major point of friction in the negotiation of peace, and affirmed that Washington “will do them at sometime” and if “someone approaches the place, we will know it and we will explode”. EFE
