Kingsley Coman Leaves Bayern and Signs for Cristiano Ronaldo Al Nassr
The French winger closes a successful decade in Munich with a move to Saudi Arabia
Bayern Munich confirmed this Friday the departure of Kingsley Coman to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, ending a ten-year spell marked by titles and moments decisive.
The 29-year-old French winger arrived on loan from Juventus in 2015 and joined the Bavarian side on a permanent basis two years later.
During his time in Germany, Coman lifted nine Bundesliga titles, a Champions League, a Club World Cup and several domestic trophies. His most memorable goal was the one that gave Bayern victory in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
A decade of goals, assists and key moments
Coman played 339 official matches for Bayern, scoring 72 goals and providing 71 assists. His speed and changes of pace made him a key player for the team, as well as a regular for the French national team, with whom he has played 58 matches, scored eight goals, and won the 2021 Nations League. He was also runner-up in the 2022 World Cup and the 2016 European Championship. The transfer to Al Nassr, valued at around €25 million, includes a multi-million-dollar contract for the player, who will receive between €20 and €25 million annually. According to German media, Bayern asked for the deal to be closed quickly to give themselves room to react in the transfer market. In his farewell, the club reviewed some of his most memorable moments. On March 12, 2016, in a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen, he provided three assists, two for Thiago and one for Thomas Muller, making him the most decisive player in the match. Days later, on March 16, in the Champions League round of 16 against Juventus, he assisted Muller to force extra time and scored the fourth goal that sealed a historic comeback.
But his most indelible mark came on August 23, 2020: with a precise header from a pass from Joshua Kimmich, he sealed the 1-0 lead against PSG that earned Bayern its sixth European Cup.
