Queretaro FC has a new reinforcement that arrives from Spain. The 24-year-old midfielder is Carlo Adriano, a Villarreal youth player who played last season on loan to Mirands.
Club Queretaro is pleased to officially announce the signing of Spanish midfielder Carlo Adriano, from Villarreal CF, as a new reinforcement for the 2025 Apertura Tournament, the Liga MX club's letter reads.
Immediately afterwards, the team decided to make it known by sharing a video with some of his best moments as a footballer, which are interspersed with recent statements from the player who already wears the Aztec club's shirt.
Born in Vila-real (eastern Spain), Carlo Adriano joined the Villarreal youth academy, a team that plays in LaLiga, 16 years ago. After playing for the reserve team, he made his debut with the first team, but a serious knee injury kept him out of action for a season.
Last January, he entered the first team squad, but was loaned out to Deportivo Mirands, in the Spanish Second Division, in the winter transfer market.
This summer, Carlo Adriano returned to training with Marcelino Garcia Toral's team, but as he is not in the manager's plans, Villarreal have opted to transfer the midfielder.
Shortly before the Mexican club's official announcement, Villarreal said goodbye to his youth player and wished him luck in his new adventure.
