Team India has started preparations for its T20 World Cup in Australia on Monday. The team led by Rohit Sharma played its first warm-up match in Perth. Choosing a playing XI from their team for the World Cup, India played a T20 match against the Western Australia team. India won this match by 13 runs. Kohli is likely to feature in India's second warm-up match against Western Australia at the same venue. India will take on defending T20 world champions Australia and 2021 T20 World Cup runners-up New Zealand in two other warm-up matches before starting their campaign against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 23 October. India are yet to announce their replacement for Jasprit Bumrah, who has been ruled out of the competition due to a back injury.
