Inter Miami continues to fill its squad with figures. The Major League Soccer team officially presented Casemiro. The Brazilian soccer player revealed that Lionel Messi is his main motivation to start his adventure in the United States.
The former Real Madrid player acknowledged that he had some offers to stay in Europe. However, Casemiro assured that he made the decision that motivated him the most.
“Everyone knows that I left United free and I had many options, I had Italy, I had many teams to play with and I am where I want to be and of course to play with the best,” said the Brazilian midfielder.
Casemiro assured that he has great motivation. The “Canarinha” midfielder wants to play alongside Lionel Messi, one of the “Gods of football”. In the past he played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, now he wants to continue winning trophies, but alongside the captain of the Albiceleste.
"So, I want to enjoy that, being with him (Messi), making him win, making him bigger, who is one of the Gods, if not the God of football. So, I want to enjoy with him and continue winning with him," he added.
Casemiro in Europe
Despite being 34 years old, Casemiro was a recurring footballer in Europe's elite. The Brazilian midfielder was a regular player in Manchester United's starting eleven.
Last season, Casemiro played up to 35 games with the “Red Devils” shirt. The South American soccer player contributed 9 goals and conceded 2 assists in just over 2,600 minutes played.
