Hirving Lozano did not hesitate to say that he is passionate about his return to the Mexican national team after an absence of almost a year and a half
Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, forward for San Diego FC, did not hesitate to admit that the moments away from the Mexican national team were very hard and that for that reason, hoping to return with all the attitude and desire is a special emotion that has always meant wearing the Tricolor jersey.
The above came up in a chat that the San Diego FC forward had with the AS USA Latino portal and where he expressed that he is excited about this return to an activity that has always generated a very special passion for him with the green jersey.
"I am very excited, very happy to be on the National Team roster again. As I have always said, I love it, I am passionate about going to the National Team, it is another new call-up and I hope it is in the best way," said the World Cup player in Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022.
Lozano showed his interest in maintaining a high level to be considered for the final roster for the 2026 World Cup, for which he hopes to continue working to be taken into account by coach Javier Aguirre: "The main thing I am looking to be in my best shape, in my best moment, that It's the most important thing for me and I hope it gives me the opportunity to be in another World Cup. We have to work hard, there are still a few months left, but we have to work at our best," said the explosive player from the MLS border squad.
The same expectations
Regarding his return after this long absence, Lozano said he feels motivated and does not expect anything different from a group that has always supported him and where he feels like a fish in water, beyond some details that ultimately cost him his departure from the national team.
"I think it's important. Javier is going to see a lot of players and personally I'm going with a lot of desire, with a lot of happiness to always contribute to the National Team," said the former Pachuca striker.
High competition at San Diego FC
Chucky Lozano also said he was calm in the face of questions about the true level of competition at San Diego FC that have allowed him to return to the Mexican national team: "I think I'm very calm and happy here and I've shown it every time I step on the field. The truth is that I respect everyone's opinions and that's all," said the San Diego forward.
