The debate on one of the most anticipated and postponed confrontations in international boxing added a new testimonial chapter.

The current unified monarch in the light heavyweight and cruiserweight categories, David Benavídez, detailed his projections about what would have happened if the promoters had reached a contractual agreement at the stage in which dominance at 168 pounds was being consolidated to fight against the Guadalajara Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.

The lack of coincidence in the rings continues under the analysis of specialists, especially due to the stage in which the four super middleweight belts were collected.

In an interview given to Luis Parra's audiovisual channel, David Benavídez stated that he was completely certain about the outcome of that possible combat, arguing that his preparation gave him the necessary resources to prevail at that time.
