Javier Tebas promotes the possibility of bringing Spanish football to Mexico

Spanish football is one of the highest level on the European continent. LaLiga clubs are very followed in many parts of the world. Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, hopes to be able to hold matches in Mexico between Spanish clubs.
Javier Tebas recognized the scope of his tournament. The leader himself assures that Mexico is one of the countries that regularly consumes Spanish football. This is why he wants to bring his product to the North American country.
"Of course. We will try to bring Spanish teams here to play during the season and even more so by having Spanish teams with a Mexican community," Tebas said in statements compiled by Récord.
Although a league match seems complex due to external obstacles, Javier Tebas does not rule out touring the Mexican territory. Spanish clubs that will seek to prepare the season in Mexico.
“Like Sporting, I would very much like to be able to go on a tour of Mexico with them (…) It is true that all the saturation of the calendar costs a lot of seasons or tours, rather,” he added.
The fight with FIFA
Javier Tebas has been one of the great precursors who tries to expand the range of action of Spanish football. The leader has already been able to take the Super Cup and friendly matches of the Classic outside of Spain. His great challenge is the LaLiga duels.

It is worth remembering that Javier Tebas has constantly tried to take a LaLiga match outside of Spanish territory. In 2019 he tried it with Barcelona vs. Girona in January; In December 2024 he wanted to take Barcelona vs. Atlético to Miami and in December 2025 they once again promoted the duel between Villarreal vs. Barcelona at the Hard Rock Stadium. In none of these cases did he obtain permission from the Spanish federation.
