While all the images have focused on the renovations to the interior of the building that in June will become a three-time World Cup host with the inauguration of the 2026 World Cup, the new graphics show important modifications to the exterior and the parking area that show great progress.
While it is true that the design of this great stadium maintained its original structure, this has not been an impediment to making reforms to its appearance, especially to its paint, since it seems it will leave its classic grayish color for a white one to have a more avant-garde perspective.
This is denoted in the images from the outside where the enormous columns that support the total weight of the structure can be seen and that will later give way to the new lighting with the most modern LED lamps, generating great expectations among users who in previous days were pessimistic that the stadium will be ready for the match scheduled for its reopening, which apparently will be between Mexico and Portugal.
A new parking area
In other modifications that will be made to this iconic venue, a new parking area will be built to facilitate the entry and exit of fans, which in recent years has become a real drama to get to the property.
According to unofficial versions, it is assured that this new area will be part of the hospitality experience packages for the next World Cup, but so far nothing is confirmed, along with the works that the CDMX authorities are carrying out to give fans the way to get to this venue more easily from all points of the Mexican capital.
The truth is that the next five months will be crucial for the completion of the remodeling works and for the celebration that is being planned to present it to the public from all over the world and to demonstrate the great works in sports infrastructure that are being done in Mexico.
