Galaxy Unpacked 2025: all the details are leaked before the Samsung event
A last-minute leak allowed us to know in depth all the devices that are expected to be presented
There are just a few hours left for Samsung to celebrate one of its most important events of the year, the Galaxy Unpacked 2025, and nothing seems to be a secret anymore. A massive leak coming directly from marketing materials has revealed all the key details of the devices the brand will unveil this Wednesday, July 9.
From the new foldable Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, to a high-end watch called the Galaxy Watch Ultra, virtually the entire product lineup has leaked online. This makes the event almost symbolic, with the only thing missing being official confirmation and release dates.
The new devices show a clear commitment to refined design, artificial intelligence, and a significant improvement in batteries, cameras, and displays. But there are also controversial decisions, such as the removal of support for the S Pen on one of the foldables. Let's take it step by step.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7: thinner, more powerful, and more ambitious foldables
Samsung continues to refine its range of foldable phones, and this year, the strategy seems more mature. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 arrive with a more polished aesthetic, better materials, and a clear focus on power and autonomy.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the thinnest folding book that the company has ever made, with just 4.2 mm thick when open and a weight of about 215 grams, making it more comfortable for daily use. Its main interior screen measures 8 inches, while the external one reaches 6.5 inches, both with a fluid refresh rate and a design with almost no visible folds.
This model will include the new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, accompanied by up to 1 TB of storage and a 4,400 mAh battery, which promises up to 40 hours of continuous use. In terms of cameras, it will be a real leap forward: it will have a 200-megapixel main sensor, similar to that of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which positions it as one of the best photography phones of the season.
However, the big negative surprise is that Samsung is eliminating compatibility with the S Pen in this model. A decision that could upset users who used it as a sort of mini Galaxy Note with a folding screen.
For its part, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 retains its clamshell format, but has been completely revamped. The new design makes it thinner and more elegant, with a thickness of 6.5 mm and a 6.85-inch main screen. In addition, it incorporates a larger external screen, approximately 4 inches, which dramatically improves interaction without opening the device.
Inside, the Z Flip 7 will also rely on the Snapdragon 8 Elite and offer 12 GB of RAM with 256 or 512 GB of storage. Its camera system will include a 50 MP main sensor and a 12 MP ultra-wide angle, as well as a 10 MP front camera, enhanced by AI tools thanks to the new Pro Visual Engine. The battery increases to 4,300 m Ah, offering around 31 hours of autonomy in video playback.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: a more affordable version of the foldable
One of the surprises of this leak was the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a cheaper variant of the popular foldable model. It will maintain the clamshell design and key functionality, but will cut back on features to reach a wider audience.
It will have 128 and 256 GB storage options, a battery between 3,887 and 4,000 m Ah, and more modest cameras. Its autonomy will still be decent, with up to 37 hours of use, although it is likely not to include the advanced AI improvements that its older siblings will have. It will be available only in black and white, which reinforces its functional and minimalist character.
Galaxy Watch 8 and Ultra: smartwatches with AI, better battery life, and more storage
It wasn't just foldable watches that were the protagonists of the leak. Three new smartwatches were also unveiled that Samsung will present this Wednesday: the Galaxy Watch 8, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and a new premium model, the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra comes with a battery that promises up to 100 hours of continuous use, far exceeding the autonomy of previous generations. It will also have 64 GB of internal storage, doubling the previous capacity, and a 1.5-inch high-definition AMOLED display. It is a proposal designed for intensive users, athletes, or frequent travelers.
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic returns to the traditional design with a rotating bezel, a 1.3-inch screen, and also 64 GB of storage. The battery will be 445 m Ah, enough for smooth daily use.
Finally, the standard Galaxy Watch 8 will maintain a slimmer profile, an improved display, and advanced health monitoring features. Most interestingly, it could be the first Samsung smartwatch to include an AI-based smart assistant, Possibly Google Gemini, for a much more personalized experience.
