New changes to the messaging platform
The changes introduced by Mark Zuckerberg's company to WhatsApp are usually implemented gradually. WhatsApp's goal is to continue offering private and secure messaging.
WhatsApp has had a busy few months introducing new features and updates. Below is a list of some of the features and new features that the instant messaging app will be implementing:
More than 80 colors for chats
One of the main new features of WhatsApp is the expansion of its color palette for chats to 38 options. In the iOS 25.17.70 beta, WhatsApp has enabled 18 additional colors, bringing the total to 38.
The colors can be applied individually or globally across all chats and channels, and are available in both light and dark modes. Additionally, the colors also adjust to the backgrounds and decorative elements of each conversation.
Animated avatars and the ability to scan from the app
Users will be able to display their avatar next to their profile photo, alternating the images with an animated effect. This option can be configured from the app, generating a new dimension to the visual identity within the platform.
If scanning is possible,It will be possible to incorporate the document scanning function directly from the application. Currently, it is only available for iOS, but they are working on adapting it for Android, through beta version 2.25.18.29.
Automatic summaries with AI
Another tool that is added to WhatsApp is private processing, available in beta version 2.25.18.18 for Android, which allows you to generate summaries of unread messages without compromising privacy.
When a threshold of pending messages is reached, a button appears that facilitates a quick view of the accumulated content.
Additionally, you can disable GIF animations, stickers and emojis, and the option to darken buttons in light mode, to facilitate their visibility.
