Massacre in Irapuato: Armed attack during patron saint festival leaves 10 dead
While dozens of men, women, and children were enjoying a patron saint festival in Irapuato, Guanajuato, an armed attack sowed panic and left several dead.
Violence once again made its presence felt in the state of Guanajuato with the massacre of at least 10 people in the city of Irapuato, all while a patron saint festival was taking place.

“According to preliminary data, 10 people lost their lives and several more were injured by firearms,” said the local Citizen Security Secretariat.
According to media outlets such as the AM newspaper, of the 10 victims, four died at the scene of the attack and six more while being treated by paramedics or taken to a hospital.
Witnesses to the massacre stated that an armed group arrived at the scene and opened fire on the attendees.
Another clip that was released shows several bloodied bodies lying on the floor near a house and between chairs, while a woman screamed and cried to see her loved one, apparently already dead.
After this attack became known, personnel from the State Security Secretariat, the National Defense Secretariat, the National Guard, and the State Attorney General's Office They mounted a joint operation to find those responsible. However, so far, there are no reports of arrests.
