David and Victoria Beckham's son, Romeo, is preparing to take a turn in his professional career. The 23-year-old, who has already tried his luck in football and modeling, will make his acting debut in the film “Forty Love”, a romantic drama set in the world of tennis.

Directed by renowned fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, the film marks his directorial debut and is produced by Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, in collaboration with Studiocanal and Manna Studios. The film, which will be released in French cinemas on November 25, has a stellar cast in which Romeo shares credits with actors such as Paul Kircher, Guillaume Canet, Benjamin Voisin and the legendary Catherine Deneuve, according to Variety.

A role that promises

In “Forty Love,” Romeo plays a charismatic rival who rocks the world of Sacha Gallo, played by Paul Kircher, a tennis superstar who trains with his father to win a major trophy in Paris.

The official synopsis describes the plot with a tone that promises strong emotions: "For the first time, he faces an opponent of a completely different nature: love. A force as stimulating as it is destabilizing, and much more dangerous than anything he has encountered on the court."

Producer Hugo Sélignac defined the film as a “romantic, sensual and deeply moving fable” that explores the demands of high-level sport and everything that hides beneath the surface.

The visual aesthetic, by Carlotti, promises to give it a “true distinctive touch,” according to Chloé Marquet, international sales director at Studiocanal.

Romeo Beckham is no stranger to the spotlight. Before making the leap into acting, he followed in his father's footsteps in football, playing in Arsenal's youth ranks and for teams such as Fort Lauderdale CF and Brentford B, until retiring in 2024 to focus on his career in fashion. As a model, she has worked for luxury brands such as Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.

His foray into film adds to an important year, as in May 2026, Romeo made his debut on the Met Gala red carpet, wearing a kink-inspired Burberry look.
