Veteran accuses being unjustly detained in ICE raid in Ventura
In a video conference, George Retes said that federal agents never told him the reason why he was detained for three days after the raid in Ventura
A disabled Hispanic veteran accused that he was unjustly detained, in addition to being detained for three days, after the raid that federal agencies Immigration officers carried out Thursday, July 10, in Ventura County.
George Retes, 25, testified in a video press conference Wednesday that his civil rights were violated after being unjustly detained when he showed up for work as a security guard at Glass House Farms in Camarillo.
According to the Hispanic man, he identified himself as a U.S. citizen and security guard for the cannabis farm, but federal agents ignored him, smashed his vehicle's window, pepper-sprayed him, and arrested him.
