California Operation Saves More Than 160 Victims of Exploitation

More than 160 victims, including children, were rescued as part of an operation in California against human trafficking, authorities reported Tuesday.
At a press conference In a press conference, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said that 150 adults and 14 minors, one as young as 13, were rescued during the statewide operation, dubbed “Operation Recover and Rebuild,” which followed months of investigation. As part of the operation, which involved more than 80 law enforcement agencies in California, authorities arrested 611 people, including traffickers and clients.
