The Central Command of the United States Armed Forces (Centcom) announced the start of new aerial bombardments against Iranian targets for the ninth consecutive day after Washington declared the conflict restarted last week.

The announcement comes hours after Centcom itself made public the death of a third American soldier, this time in northern Iraq, which adds to the two deaths of other soldiers in Jordan, in addition to the disappearance of another soldier.

These were the first American casualties recorded in the conflict since the ceasefire between Tehran and Washington broke down last week.

In total, 16 US soldiers have perished so far in the war against Iran, which started on February 28.

This is the ninth day of consecutive attacks by Washington, a new wave of aggression to which Iran has responded with bombings on US military bases in allied Gulf countries.

Tehran has threatened further retaliation against American “barbarism” if the White House does not stop the attacks. EFE
