Cannabis worth 222 million seized in California
The California government said that in the third quarter of 2025, 18 people were arrested in connection with the seized drugs and 22 firearms were confiscated.
Nearly $222 million worth of illegal cannabis was seized from July to September 2025 and destroyed by authorities, the office of California Governor Gavin Newsom reported Thursday.

The illicit proceeds were seized across the Golden State by partners across state government and part of the California Unified Cannabis Enforcement Task Force (UCETF), who joined forces to seize illegal cannabis, as well as marijuana plants and illegal firearms.
