Mayor Karen Bass's brother filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles for the loss of his property due to the Palisades Fire, which broke out on January 7, 2025.
Court documents show that Kenneth D. Bass is among the thousands of homeowners who lost their residences in the conflagration that broke out in the foothills of Pacific Palisades.
In addition to the city, the legal action targets the state of California, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), and other entities.
