Supporters of Measure ER, included on the primary ballot in Los Angeles County, declared victory for the proposal on Tuesday.

Measure ER proposes to establish a sales tax of half a cent on every dollar spent, to help fund health services in Los Angeles County.

Initially, after the first provisional results of the primaries, on the night of June 2, Measure ER began with a majority of “no” votes. However, as the vote count progressed, the “yes” to the proposal regained ground until it took the lead.
