A woman managed to escape with an allegedly stolen vehicle after a 155-mile police chase that crossed four Southern California counties Monday afternoon until she managed crossing the border into Mexico, authorities reported.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Alyssa Wilson of Simi Valley, is suspected of stealing a silver Toyota Sienna minivan from a rehabilitation home in the 1900 block of East Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said.
After the theft, authorities spotted the minivan in Simi Valley and attempted to stop it, but the driver fled and entered Highway 118, where she reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour, according to authorities.
