This restriction is only for those students who take admission in Darul Uloom Deoband for the course of Alim and Fazil, but instead of studying here.

Controversy has started due to the new decision of 'Darul Uloom Deoband' institution, which imparts Islamic education in the country. In its decision, Deoband has banned the students studying here from going outside and studying any other syllabus. The organization says that going out spoils the institute's own training system. The institute has imposed this restriction because the education system of the institute gets affected if the students go out to study another course.

According to the order issued by the Education Department of Darul Uloom Deoband, 'Students are informed that no other education (English etc.) will be allowed while taking education in Darul Uloom Deoband. If any student is found involved in this work or any information related to it is received from any other place, then he will be suspended.

According to the order, 'During studies, no student should stay in any other room except the class. Darul Uloom administration can inspect any room at any time. If any student is found involved in this work, strict action will be taken against him. If a student leaves before the end of the period after marking attendance in the class or is seen coming at the end of the hour to mark attendance, then strict action will be taken against him.

Darul Uloom Deoband has given clarification on the controversy arising out of the decision. Mohtamim (chief executive) of the institute, Maulana Abdul Kasim Nomani told news agency 'PTI', 'It is being told in some media reports that English studies have been banned in Darul Uloom Deoband, whereas it is not so. There is a separate department of English in Darul Uloom and children are being taught it.

He said, 'This restriction is only for those students who take admission in Darul Uloom Deoband for the course of Alim and Fazil, but instead of studying here, they go to any coaching center in the city to study English or other studies. No one is being forbidden from studying English. In Darul Uloom, 24-hour separate teaching and training work is scheduled for the students. In such a situation, if the students go out, their education in this institution is affected.

Nomani told, 'This ban is not only for these students, but there are many students who do their business outside despite being enrolled in the madrassa. Let's set up a tea cart. All of them have been banned from doing so. Similarly, a ban has also been imposed on these students that if they have enrolled in any course, then they should study it wholeheartedly.
