In the month of March this year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has started an investigation in the case of demonstrations and vandalism by
Khalistani supporters outside the
Indian High Commission in London. In the course of the investigation, the NIA has sought the help of the general public in identifying those involved in violent protests and attempts to sabotage. Officials have given information about this on Tuesday.
The official spokesperson of the agency shared the links of five videos of the March 19 incident on its Twitter handle. Also urged people to provide any information about the persons seen in the footage to NIA.
Earlier, in the month of April, the National Investigation Agency had taken over the investigation of this case from the Special Cell of
Delhi Police. On March 24, on the orders of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Special Cell of
Delhi Police had registered a case against
Khalistani and his supporters, who were protesting in front of the
Indian Embassy. A case was registered against these Khalistan supporters under
Indian Penal Code (IPC), UAPA and PDPP Act.
The Ministry of External Affairs had written to the Union Home Ministry to take action after the protest at the
Indian Embassy in London. On this, the Union Home Ministry had ordered the
Delhi Police to take appropriate legal action.
Let us tell you that pro-Khalistan protesters tried to vandalize the
Indian High Commission in London in the month of March. Not only this, on March 19, protesting outside the High Commission premises, the national flag was brought down. The protest in London took place a day after the Punjab Police launched a crackdown on radical Amritpal Singh.
