Odisha Governor Raghuvar Das has stressed the important role of tribal students in India's progress and development. If India is to become a developed country then development of tribals is necessary. He praised the contributions of Dr. Achyut Samant, Founder of Keet and Kees, towards tribal empowerment. He was speaking as the chief guest at the third convocation of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, a deemed university, in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. During this period, more than three hundred students were awarded postgraduate and PhD degrees. Dr. Samant greeted the guests and parents of the students who came to the function.

The Governor said that thousands of tribal students from our home state Jharkhand are realizing their dreams through this educational institution. It is also a matter of pride for the tribal communities that after 75 years of independence, India has a tribal leader in the form of Draupadi Murmu as the President of the country.

Chhattisgarh Governor Vishwa Bhushan Harichandan appreciated the patience and determination of Dr. Samant for establishing Keet and Kees and requested the students not to forget the service to their parents and motherland while pursuing their professional lives. Forget it! After studying, KISS students, whether living in India or abroad, should always remember their motherland.

G-20 Sherpa and former CEO of NITI Aayog, Amitabh Kant described KIIT and KIS as the best institutions in the world. It is noteworthy that KISS is a ritual where tribal children are provided free education from KG to PG. He listed a series of economic developments initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including the digital revolution, and said India will become the third largest economy by 2027. Shopnendu Mahanty shared his experience and talked about becoming a coach for KISS students in future.

Spiritual guru Chidanand Saraswati said that the efforts that Dr. Samant is making for the development of tribal society through education are praiseworthy. Dr. Samant is also helping lakhs of tribal students to fulfill their dreams. Internationally renowned Indian musician and three-time Grammy Award winner Dr. Ricky G. was present as the guest of honor at the ceremony. Cage called on students to address the issue of climate change.

Chancellor of Keys Deemed University Satya S Tripathi, Vice Chancellor Professor Deepak Kumar Behera and Registrar Dr PK Routray also expressed their views. KIIT-KIS President Shashwati Bal, Vice President Umapada Bose and other senior officials of the university were present at the convocation ceremony.
