Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Germany today for the G-7 summit. In this regard, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said that Prime Minister Modi will leave for Germany late today (June 25) at the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. There he will attend the G-7 summit. Prime Minister Modi will also hold bilateral meetings and discussions with the leaders of the countries participating in the summit. He said that Prime Minister Modi will also interact with the Indian community at a community event during his visit to the G-7 summit in Germany.

The Foreign Secretary said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the G-7 summit on June 26-27. Important global challenges including the Ukraine-Russia war, the situation in the Indo-Pacific region, food and energy security, climate will be discussed during this period.

Vinay Kwatra told that Prime Minister Modi will visit the United Arab Emirates on June 28. During this, he will personally pay tribute to the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, former President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The Prime Minister will also congratulate Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as the new President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. Modi will return to the country from UAE on the night of 28 June.

Kwatra said India's stand has been clear from the time the Ukraine crisis started that there should be a ceasefire at the earliest and the problem should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.

The G-7 group is a group of seven richest countries in the world, currently headed by Germany. The group includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States. Countries like Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, South Africa have also been invited. US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macro, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and many other top leaders are participating in this meeting.

Kwatra said that during his visit to Germany, Prime Minister Modi can address two sessions in which one session will be on environment, energy, climate and the second session will cover topics like food security, gender equality and democracy. On the sidelines of this summit, the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of some of the countries participating in the summit.
