Relief for LIC Policyholders with ACESO’s ALIP Launch
ACESO launches ALIP to provide relief to LIC policyholders by offering easy surrender value and other benefits.
There is good news for the millions of LIC policyholders across the country. ACESO, an organization dedicated to providing easy solutions for insurance policyholders, has launched a new service called ALIP (Assignment of Life Insurance Policies). This platform is designed to offer significant relief to policyholders who are considering letting their policies lapse or surrendering them. With ALIP, policyholders can easily obtain the surrender value of their policies and benefit from other related services.
Comprehensive Services with ALIP
ALIP is not just about providing surrender value. It also offers policyholders detailed information about the benefits related to their life coverage from the start of the policy until its maturity date. In the unfortunate event of the policyholder's death, ALIP will ensure that all relevant information and services related to the policy are provided to the nominee.
Fast Payment Process
What sets ALIP apart from the traditional method of receiving surrender value from the insurance company is its faster and more efficient payment process. Claims are generally processed within 48 hours once all the required documentation for policy surrender is completed. Additionally, the entire documentation and KYC process is conducted online, reducing hassle for both the policyholder and the LIC agent.
Expert Insights
Ranjit Kulkarni, Head of Research at ACESO, highlighted the significant impact of ALIP. “LIC issues about 80% endowment policies. However, 50% of these policies are surrendered before maturity or lapse,” he said. “ALIP offers LIC insured individuals a simple option to surrender their policies ahead of time, providing a valuable alternative.”
